Gediz is a Senior Associate advising on technology, fintech, and energy matters, with a focus on cross-border transactions and commercial mandates for clients in emerging markets across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. He has worked in private practice, as in-house counsel, and in transactional advisory, with a background in corporate law, finance, and international energy projects.

Before joining the firm, Gediz served as Legal Counsel for International Projects at Karpowership, where he negotiated power purchase, charter, and operation & maintenance agreements across the company's international project portfolio, and structured the contractual and legal framework underpinning the company's bids in international procurement tenders.

He was previously an Associate at Hergüner Bilgen Üçer, advising sovereign wealth funds, development finance institutions, and multinational banks on banking, finance, and restructuring mandates.

As Legal Counsel at TOGG, Turkey's national electric vehicle initiative, he built out the contract framework for purchasing, engineering, and service agreements and negotiated with international suppliers across Europe and Asia.

Earlier in his career, he practiced in Ernst & Young's legal department, advising on M&A, capital markets, and regulatory matters, and began his legal career at Turunç Law Firm.

He holds an LL.M. from the University of Chicago Law School, an MSc in Finance from Sabancı University, and an LL.B. from Istanbul University. Gediz is based in Istanbul. He is fluent in Turkish and English and is a member of the Istanbul Bar Association.
